Singing Time

Elora was singing away on the front porch the other day, so I tip-toed up behind her and recorded her on my camera. She stops as soon as she realizes someone is watching her so that's why I tip toed. Lacy put a video of Elora singing on her blog too, if you want to check it out!

Memory Lane!

Let's take a trip down Memory Lane....Do you remember when?

Here are the rules:1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember(it can involve the family or even my husband too)!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you... either on your blog, in my comment box, or I will email you back!

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all ☺

4. Consider this a Tag: if you've read it, you have to do it!

Oh Deer!

We've had this buck visiting our yard a lot lately. Usually it just sticks around the borders of our yard and eats the blackberry bushes. But I think our garden is starting to tempt it. It was making it's way slowly and cautiously to the peas when Danika and I spotted it! I grabbed the camera and took a few pics and then snuck up and scared it. It leaped gracefully away. Danika and I stumbled upon it a week ago as we were walking in the yard. This deer is not small! I was almost looking it eye to eye. I think it's horns make it about as tall as me! That big of a deer could do some major damage to our beautiful garden! So next time I see it that close, that poor little dear is going to have a pellet gun pointed at it (I'm sorry if anyone is offended by that, but it's not going to ruin all our hard work)!

Garden Beauties!

After 2 years of working on our yard it's starting to look how we want it to look! This picture is of our vegetable garden. The three garden boxes in the front of the pic are what I try to take care of and the big garden section behind them is Ben's garden. Our Strawberries are sooooo yummy this year(they are in the garden box on the right)!

I can't remember what these are called, but the color looks so fake because it is so bright! I love flowers with unusual colors!

These are my Burgundy Sweet Williams!

I really love all the colors that came out of this pack of Snap Dragon seeds!

Again, I don't remember the name of this but it's beautiful!

My first Daylilly bloom of the year, I have 2 more daylilly plants that are different colors that didn't bloom last year, so I'm excited for those buds to open!

This is a Mini Dahlia.

The last blooms on my Peony bushes.

This is a wild flower that grows here. I don't know what its called, but it reminds me of a wedding dress because it is so pure white!

Happy 4th of July!

For the 4th of July our ward had an "old time 4th of July party". There were old time games and activities for the kids and a whole lot of food! Pete and I won the three-legged race and I won the Cherry pit spitting contest for the women! Quite exciting stuff! But I forgot to bring my camera. So here are some pics from today of the kids on their bikes that we decorated with ribbons for the 4th. They just finished eating ice cream cones so they are a "little" dirty!
