Thought By C.S. Lewis

Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently he starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of- throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.

5 Months Old!

Time sure is flying by!
Alexander (Xander) is now 5 months old!
He is such a happy baby and we all love squeezing and kissing him (o.k., maybe it's me that does it the most)!
He is a whopping 17 lbs now and is rolling around everywhere!
He also has the cutest laugh!

I got a few pics of the kids seeing the presents for the first time on Christmas morning!

This was our family gift this year. We've all been enjoying it tons!
Especially Pete!
Elora has already learned Twinkle, Twinkle.
Zach loves to set it to the drum set and play around.

Here's Xander with his new Giraffe! He love this thing, especially it's ears and horns! Yum, yum!

Christmas Eve!

We spent Christmas Eve at Matt & Mandy's home!
We had a wonderfully relaxed evening!
We started out with a dinner of fun appetizers, then we made Graham Cracker houses and we finished off the evening with Home Alone 2.

Elora and Zach talked to Santa. Danika wouldn't go near him!

Here's the kids singing for everyone!
