Dancing in the rain!

Last week we were outside admiring the dark stormy clouds that were coming our way when they started pouring on us! Zach ran for the house but Danika and Elora started running in circles! They were really funny to watch! Danika kept splashing water up her nose and was making funny faces because of it!

Aprons, Aprons, Aprons!

I made a couple aprons from this really cute apron pattern I found. They turned out super cute and I love them. It's the flounce that makes them so cute, and I just think it's fun to say flounce! The bottom apron is made out of Christmas material, it's so festive!

Kitchen Update!

Here's an update on our kitchen. The ceiling and the painting is done! We took off all the old tile things that were covering the nice wood ceiling, then I painted the ceiling and Pete put the tin ceiling up and then we put the moulding up. Then Pete installed the new lights. Now we are working on everything else. The cabinets are all installed except for one. Pete installed the oven last night and today he is working on the back splash(it matches the ceiling). So we are moving along slowly but surely.

The thing I miss most is the Kitchen sink! I didn't realize how much I would miss the sink, but that's what I miss the most!

Crazy upside down life!

So here is an update on what we've been doing the last week!

Last Wednesday I borrowed a friends truck so I could go to Ikea in Portland and buy our new kitchen!!!!!! Yipeee!!!!

So I went all by myself and ordered it and loaded 7 carts worth of kitchen(with help from the Ikea boys)! 4 hrs latter I was on my way home! I meant to take a pic of the overloaded truck before we started unloading it but I forgot. So here is what we unloaded into our dinning room and what was left in the truck. I had the cab stacked with stuff too!

In between all this kitchen stuff I had a yard sale on Sat. and then yesterday we riped the old kitchen out!

Our kitchen walls are like a patchwork quilt! Unfortunately it's not very pretty!

On the outside of our house there is a metal box in the kitchen wall. We could never figure out what it was for. Now we know! It is an old fan! I've never seen a wall fan quite like this before.

And to add to our list of things to do, Zach started school today! Elora starts on the 16th and I need to build a rabbit cage today and tomorrow! So yeah! That's what's going on in our lives right now!

I can't wait for our new kitchen!
