Happy Birthday Elora!

Elora is 4 !!!
So, I'm just a little late posting this! Elora's B-Day is April 24th but we had her party on the 27th. She was so excited to get all these presents! Of course she had to open the Princess present first, which was a princess coloring station from Matt and Mandy! She loves it!Grandma Julie made this pretty pink dress for Elora and I gave her all the princess jewelry.
The only part of cake that Elora will eat is the frosting, so I decided to make her Fruit Pizza this year instead of the traditional B-Day cake. It was sooooooo yummy!
And to finish off the party Elora requested "the chocolate fountain"! If you know Pete at all you wont be surprised to learn that we own our very own Chocolate Fountain. It's ALWAYS a hit anywhere!
I thought Elora's mustache was quite becoming on her!

Ahhhhh! Sun!

Yesterday it was 80 degrees! It was sooooo nice! The kids pulled out the pools from last year and played all day with them without ever blowing them up! Elora was in such a good mood that she was singing all day at the top of her lungs. I caught her singing jingle bells. I thought it was appropriate for the weather we were having just a couple weeks ago!

This is what I did yesterday. Lacy and I put together my new garden cart that I got for myself with my B-Day money! I've been wanting one for a long time and as you can see I put it to use right away, filling it with the Blackberry bushes that are constantly trying to take over our yard!

Which Disney Princess Are You?

Lacy did this on her blog so I had to try it too. It's funny because Pocahontas was my favorite move for a long time! I totally wanted to talk to trees and run with the wind!

Which Disney Princess Are You?

You are Pocahontas. You defy convention and sometimes do what is considered taboo. Unfortunately, others do not always appreciate your differences, so it's good that you are so strong-willed. You are loyal and you believe in fate. Your true love will find you one day.

2 Down 5 to Go!

So we finished the girls room! Here's all the before and after pics. It had pink carpet that stunk like animals, before I took the pics.

Before: Dry rotted window that was very drafty!

After: New window! No more drafts!

Before: Termite damage to the wall. Out dated wallpaper on ceiling.

After: We filled in all the termite holes and painted the ceiling. We also caulked all the seams and cracks in the outer walls to ensure no more drafts or bugs.

Before

After

Before: The closet was huge and a waste of space because it took up the whole wall and wasn't built very well.

After: So we cut the closet in half and made a cute little nook and added shelves in the closet for more storage space.

Before: The other end of the closet

After: The other end of the closet. I am going to put a curtain up over the door way. Pete built it so we could easily add a door in the future if we wanted to.

I haven't hung up all the pics I've been saving for the "Girls room" and the curtains aren't what I want them to be but, it was so much fun putting this girls room together. Zach and Elora have shared a room their whole lives so this was the first time I was able to decorate a girls room and I would recommend it to anyone!

So that is what we've been working on through march. Now we are going to move on to the upstairs bathroom! It will probably take us more than a month to finish it though. But it will be sooooo nice when it's done!

Spring Break

For Spring Break the kids and I drove 3 hours to Yakima to spend a few days with Jeff and Val's family! Val was able to sign the kids up for swimming lessons at the YMCA, so they had fun doing that. Then on Thursday Ken and Julie drove over too. So we all had dinner at Great Grandma and Grandpa's house in Sunnyside and the kids had tons of fun playing in their beautiful yard!

Danika and Snickers

Zach, Danika and Elora

Danika, Emery and Grandpa Ken, Great Grandpa Smith and Great Grandma Smith.

Snickers and Lilly

Elora had lots of fun playing school with all the dogs chew toys and Great Grandma's toys!

The kids had lots of fun!

Two front teeth!

Zach lost both his front teeth within a couple days of each other. The first one fell out while he was eating a piece of soft chocolate. The other one I pulled out because I was sick of seeing it waggling around every time he talked! He was so excited he wouldn't hold still for the pics, so these were the two best pics.
