Playing in the Snow!

Here is Elora and Zach ready to play!
(Zach is such a goof ball)

After I took this pic we made the stairs into a sledding ramp! It was fun.

Danika couldn't move very well! She didn't like this deep snow very much.

Pretty much our whole house is surrounded by ice cycles.

Warning: If you get motion sickness easily, don't watch this video, just listen :) !
Danika was having so much fun swinging that she didn't want to come inside to eat lunch. I had to drag her out of the swing screaming. I think she was numb because when we got inside she screamed for 10 minutes because her hands and feet were so cold! Poor baby!

Beautiful Snow!

We woke up to a few more inches of snow, so now we have about a foot of snow.
We tried to build a snowman, but it's too powdery, so we just played!

Lots and lots of Snow!

So, for all you out there reading this that live where it snows a lot regularly. Stop laughing at me!
You have to remember I'm from So. Cal.!
Our street has the best slop in our neighborhood, so all the kids gather here to sled. It's been fun to watch all the kids. Zach tried it on our little sled but it wouldn't go very far. He was excited to play in the street though.

We have about 8 in of snow now! And it's still snowing hard!

The sun came out for a few minutes so I took this pic of our awesome ice cycles.

Snow Day!!!

Yesterday (and today and probably tomorrow) we had a snow day and this is what we did!

When I took these pics we had about 2-3 in of snow. Now we have about 4-5 in (it's the most snow we've ever had since we moved here 3 yrs ago). I actually had to shovel the sidewalk, that's a first for me :) !

We also finally made some Christmas cookies!

Notice Zach's hand (Pete called him a smurf when he got home from work).
Of course they had to taste the dough too.

We will probably play some more and take some more pictures today!

Here comes Santa Clause!

We had our ward Christmas party on Sat. and Santa visited!Pete tried to put Danika on Santa's lap, but this was as close as she would get to him!

Elora was way excited to sit on Santa's lap (you can see how excited she was in the next picture)!

Zach was excited to get the goodie bag. He told me Santa was just someone in a costume because he wasn't fat enough.

One of the teenage girls put this furry hat on Danika so I took a pic :)
(Danika was still recovering from scary Santa)

We got an inch of snow over the weekend.
So this morning we had a beautiful snow- sunrise!
(someday I'll have a good digital camera and then I'll be able to take good clear pictures:(

Oh Christmas Tree!

On Saturday we went to one of the many tree farms around here and picked out our tree.
The kids had tons of fun running through the trees and getting lost and then of course they would turn the corner and run into "monster mom"! (I always had them within sight because they really could have gotten lost. )
Then we came home and decorated the tree!

Zach just had to stand on a chair and reach as high as he could.

Elora took decorating very seriously.

Danika just wanted to wear all the ornaments! She had about 10 ornaments on each arm before the night was over!

8 Years!

Pete and I have been married 8 years now! Wow!
Just for fun,
here are a few fun candid shots at the San Diego Temple!
Pete's such a romantic!

I was a little giddy that day! He he.
Oh, the confusion of weddings!

Here's a pic of all our family that was able to come to the Temple!
I love you Pete!!!

Cousins

My cousin Courtney, his wife Laura and their 3 kids came for a visit this weekend. It's been about 8 yrs since our last visit, so it was fun to catch up and meet each others kids. Elora had tons of fun playing with her "twin" Daphne! They totally look like they could be sisters!

Happy Birthday Zach!

Zach is 7 now! It's so crazy that he's that old! He had a fun day with his family and got some fun gifts! He really wanted a Transformer, so we made him a Transformer-toped cake! He loved it of course!

Our kitchen is officially done! Here are the pictures to prove it!
This is a pic of the kitchen before we moved in. It was nasty dirty and there was lots of junk laying around. But anyway you can see what it looked like and what we've been living with for the past 3 yrs.

This is our new kitchen!

Old.

New! (we still need to put up the baseboard)

Old.
New!
We kept the old farmhouse sink, but Pete had to build a cabinet for it because it's an odd size.
Pete's so handy!

I love our Island!
Here's a pic of the nice new floor! No more Yellow! Yippee!
This is the back room or mud room that is connected to the kitchen.

I love our new kitchen and I especially love having a dishwasher!
